A large shark bursts upward from the ocean in a dramatic surface splash, filling most of the page with an energetic vertical composition. The shark is angled diagonally from lower left to upper right, with its head raised high above the water and its mouth open to show several rows of sharp triangular teeth. A round eye, pointed snout, gill slits, tall dorsal fin, broad pectoral fins, and curved tail make the animal instantly recognizable. Around the lower half of the shark, big splashes and scattered droplets spread outward in all directions, creating a strong sense of movement. Along the bottom of the page, layered wavy water lines form the sea surface and give younger colorists easy sections to fill. The image uses bold, simple shapes with plenty of open areas inside the shark’s body and the splash, making it approachable and fun to color. It offers a good mix of large spaces, smaller water drops, and repeating wave patterns for practicing control while still feeling exciting and adventurous.

Coloring ideas
- Use dark gray or blue-gray on the shark's back and a lighter belly for contrast.
- Color the splash with pale blue tones and leave small highlights bright for a lively water effect.
- Try a deeper blue on the lower waves and a lighter blue near the surface line.
- Shade around the gills, fins, and mouth edges to make the shark look more dimensional.
